荣誉学位

基本含义

首先，Honours Degree（亦可参见荣誉学士学位）并不是Honourary Degree（名誉学位）。Honours为一个专有词汇，可以是名词或形容词，表示“a class or course of degree studies more specialized than that of the ordinary level”。简而言之就是“更专业、更优异”的意思；而Honourary为形容词，表示“荣誉的、名誉的、挂名的”。
